Vivint vs ADT

Vivint vs ADT

What could be a more important investment than protecting your loved ones with a reliable home security system? You want something affordable, but you also need the functionality and features to feel safe and secure. You may be considering Vivint vs ADT. Let us help you weigh your options by outlining some key differences between Vivint vs ADT.

ADT

Provides a simple keypad and five points of security for $349 startup (with a $250
rebate you have to claim later) and a $34.99 per month service fee.
Cellular connection available for additional cost.
Attempts to contact you with a phone call if the alarm is set off.

Vivint

Vivint provides:

LCD touchscreen display control panel—includes weather reports
and outside temperature readout
Two-way cellular voice on the control panel—eliminates the need for
a hard line phone, and the worry an intruder will cut your phone line outside
Emergency button on control panel and optional medical pendant
(Did you know that 85% of events requiring 911 or other assistance are
non-burglary related?) The Vivint panel, with two-way voice, allows
you to contact assistance immediately for ANY type of emergency
without having to locate your phone to dial 911 and then wait for your call
to be answered.
Free Smartphone access—monitor your home and manage your Vivint security
system from anywhere
. Arm your system remotely. Receive text or email alerts if your      system is tripped; you will even be notified as to what happened to set off the alarm.
• Wireless sensors—no drilling or ugly wires
• No-charge service calls
If you have a problem, it will be taken care of free of charge, for as long as you own your      system. They will even replace batteries if needed. (ADT’s system has
only a 90 day warranty, and service call charges of $90 + per trip!)
• Price lock—your monthly cost will NEVER go up!

While ADT is certainly a solid company, if you truly compare the value, we believe Vivint wins every time. A $34.99 security system is worthless if it does not supply the features you need to be protected. Add the additional Energy Management and Automation, and you will find no one else can offer so much at affordable prices. It’s easy to see why Vivint is the winning investment for you.

I had ADT come to my home and a give me a quote. $1500 was the start up cost for their top of the line “Pulse” system. Yea, a little bit more than I was expecting. Called Vivint and paid $199 and couldn’t be happier!
    Seriously thank you

I had a simple ADT system in my home. It came time to move and they were trying to charge me over $600. A friend of mine referred me to Vivint. The monthly seemed a little high at first but I just didn’t want to deal with ADT any more. When I noticed my energy bill was $40-50 lower, I couldn’t of been any happier. I know have a better system for less then I was paying with ADT.. Thanks

I was referred to Vivint by a friend. I have ADT as of now but I am seriously thinking of switching to Vivint. I was looking for that reassurance and other feedback from other Vivint customers. Ive had ADT for 5 yrs and I only have the keypad and yes they also require a land line phone, which I do not use. Today, most people are cellular phone users. Thanks for the feedback I was looking for, Vivint

I have been with Brinks/ADT for years and it always bothered me that it would take the police forever to arrive for burglaries, window vandalism, etc. I am now with Vivint and I love it! I do pay approx. $20 more a month but the security, features, etc. are worth it. I would recommend everyone to go to Vivint.

Thanks for the info, I like the fact that you don’t deal with subcontractors, and vivint offers great products for a reasonable price

Great info; I had been looking for a security system for my home, but have realized technology has really moved things forward! I had the system installed and couldn’t be happier- definitely feel more secure, and that I can monitor what is going on from practically anywhere.

I was with ADT for 3 days Equipment fee was going to cost us over 1500 and there was no camera’s in that . The tech came out there sold me a bunch of stuff that was not needed , he was just trying to get his sale. Contacted Vivint customize want we wanted with cameras and still didn’t cost near what ADT was. I am very happy and pleased with the switch.

I had Vivint for several years and was very happy with them. The cost is much lower than others and the service is better. I am in process of trying to buy another home and when I do it will be Vivint all the way. I can’t say enough how great they were. Best customer service I have had in years. My sister went with ADT the same time I signed with Vivint and she had a horrible experience. Her system was not installed right from the beginning and it was so problematic that she ripped it out and told them to come and get it. When she recovers from the expense she had wrapped up in ADT she plans on going with Vivint after seeing how I was treated.
